Hi Lorna

Grandma (Blanche) we remember as having two brothers. Both died in the war. We do have pictures of them but we dont remember a fourth child. Can you tell me the names of the four children and i will check with my mum (Joy).

My uncle has found out the ancestry of both of my grandparents (his parents) so i might be able to get some more information from him.

Thanks guys, that gives me something to work with. I would like to find out about my grandmothers side but the Shadwells in India are very common it seems.

Hi

I am looking for some information about my grandfather. He was born Fredrick George Oliver, his father was Ernest St Clair Oliver and Mother was Ida Letitia Oliver (dont know maiden name).

His birth date is 26 Dec 1910 in Madras. He married Blanche (or Blossom) Shadwell and they had three children. Joy (my mother), Anne and Jim. They were born in Simla.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Sue

Hi there,

I have been reading your messages about the Shadwells in India. My grandmother was born in Calcutta in 1915 and her name was Blanche Shadwell. She married George Oliver. If there is any information that you have could you please pass on.

Thanks Sue
