World War Two / Re: 832 Squadron Fleet Air Arm

I am researching a local war memorial and I have found the pilot of the plane you uncle was lost in, Sub Lt (A) Peter Duncan SAYER. His body was recovered and he is buried in Pakenham (Suffolk) Churchyard. When I have found more I will pass it on. Hopefully of course, I hope you are ahead of me in some aspects of the story

Forgot to add that his Soldier Effects also give brothers David and Robert, sisters Mary and Hannah (Martin), so it does look as if he may very well be John for the military and Harry/Henry at home.

One man I am stuck on at present is John Victor DANIEL got nothing to go on as yet. The other 13 should be OK once we get Harry or John Bridge sorted.
It s the WW2 men that give the most problems

Very often a soldier when down graded medically would be transferred tot he Labour Corps..John Bridge was gassed at some time according to his "Soldiers Effects" entry.
