Hi Kezza, I haven`t come across either of these in my research so far, although my Jeffery line is proving tough going at the moment! I seem to be stuck on Robert Jeffery, born c1862, father Henry Jeffery. I have his marriage cert., but his father was deceased by then (1886), and is proving difficult to trace.
I`ll keep your names in mind, and let you know if I find anything.

Thanks very much for all the info Chris. The childrens names are all names that run in our family, so it looks promising!
I actually saw that article in the times, and wondered if I should write.
Thanks again,
Bex  :)

Many thanks Chris,
I`m not sure where they fit yet, but it`s just possible that John is the son of my Michael and Rebecca  :)

Hi Chris,
Some time ago I asked you for a look up for a Paffett family in Hastings. There was a family there, but not the one I was looking for.
Do you think you could possibly give me the info on that family, as I am finding that all the Paffetts around the country seem to be "mine", and I`m trying to work out where they originated. ???
Many thanks,
Bex  ;D

Hi All  :)
My surname interests are: AYLMER, PAFFETT, JEFFERY, MALE and WINGATE. All in the Portsmouth/Portsea area.
I`m particularly keen to hear from anyone researching Paffett, but anyone with any of the others would be good too!   ;D

They could be, I have a few Carolines in my Paffetts from Portsmouth.
I guess maybe Michael and Rebecca had moved back to Portsmouth by the time the census was taken, the latest I have them in Hastings is 1840.
Thanks very much for looking,
Bex

Hi Chris,
I have just discovered my 3xG Grandparents lived in Hastings during the 1830s/40s. Could you possibly see if you can find them for me?
Michael Paffett
Rebecca Paffett
Possibly with children:
Eliza Paffett (christened St Mary in the Castle)
Victoria Paffett (chr. St Mary Magdalene)
Albert Paffett (chr. St Mary Magdalene)
I think Rebecca was born in Portsmouth, but I`m not sure about Michael.
Many thanks for your time,
Rebecca  :)
