I have a 7 page property auction sales brochure of Broome Park, Betchworth Surrey dated 23 March 1920. Broome Park was purchased at that time by John A Lloyd, a local businessman and distant relation.

The brochure describes the property as a fine old Georgian House, with 19 bed and dressing rooms, 4 bathrooms, 5 elegant reception rooms, billiard room and mens servants bedrooms.

The property of 56 acres included 2 lodges, stabling, garage, farmery and 3 cottages.

There is a beautiful surveyors map of the estate, as well as several photographs.
Hope this may be of interest.
Ricker

Ricker, I would be very interested in getting a copy of the brochure. At this point it seems I am not allowed to download your pdf. Can I get it any other way, please

To celebrate the millenium I published a book titled 'Betchworth within living memory' that has a sizeable section dedicated to Broome Park and a minor mention for Ravenleigh. I am 5th generation Betchworth-born and have the largest collection of old Betchworth  photographs. Get back to me if you would like to know more.

Keefus,
Can I get hold of (purchase) a copy of your book, please.

Daisy and others,

My great grandfather Henry Joseph May (nee Gollop) worked at Broome Park for 15 years from 1895 ish for a Princess Dalgorouki. His two sons were also employed as footmen. I would value any information I can get on Broome Park around this period, as well as any photos.
