Hi to all participants, the j.j.snodgrass that has been under discussion was my grandfather (and hero) and this matter has become of prime importance to his family. jim enlisted whilst living at merrygoen and after his service he returned home on the Morvada. It is quite possible this ship docked in perth and jim had a very good mate, "muckup" maccoll, who came from perth that most likely returned on the same ship. did jim visit the family during the stopover? the derelict farmhouse also contained documents relating to the mackey family so i may be confused about the name. I would dearly love to know what items were found and which museum they are in. my sister and i would then travel to perth to view them. Buzzby: if you are still monitoring these responses please reply i would be so grateful. regards, Freddyboy.
