Priscilla also had a brother William, born about 1804 in Shelton(Hanley) who she is staying with in the 1871 census.  It states he is a Pottery Warehouseman(Packer).  Looking back at previous censuses, it looks like he was married to an Elizabeth.  There are a lot of William Goodwin`s so trying to get the right one is tricky.

I only have Priscilla`s father`s name (Thomas) from the marriage records on familysearch.org  Familysearch.org Ref: Source Film No. 1517617, 497355, 497356, 873648, 96896.  One of the things that I want to do when I retire is to start travelling around to various church`s etc to try & access old parish records.  I know the Salt Library in Stafford has a lot of parish records but all on Microfiche !!  I got your message about the newspaper entry, back to the drawing board !!  I put a request on the facebook page 'UK Genealogy' to see if anyone on there could help, I`m getting a couple of pointers.  There is an 'Isle of Man Family History Society', also Braddan parish Commissioners on  www.braddan.im  and an e-mail address,  lonancommisioners@manx.net  It`s something to go on at least.

Hopefully someone will access the newspaper sooner rather than later.   Like you, I can`t find your grandmother or father on the 1911 census,  if she was a follower of the suffragette movement, there`s a chance that she refused to take part.  Apparently there were a great number of women who did this and as you say, a messy divorce going on according to the documents available.
I am linked to your tree on Ancestry. If your father is Harry Behn(Shawcross), you must be Judith, which makes us 3rd cousins.

Hi, Rachel Adeline was my 1st cousin 3 x removed,  our lines split from William Boulton born about 1804.  I am descended from his son William born 1826.  I searched for Millicent Adeline`s marriage/death in the manxbmd.com site with no records coming up but when I typed in 'Millicent Sherratt' into a search on  http://www.newspapers.gov.im/ there is a record in the births, marriages & deaths section of the Isle of Man Examiner of the 1st January 1954.  Unfortunately it`s a subscription site, so you can`t view it until you have subscribed (and paid, presumably)  Are you on Ancestry ?  I`m linked with 6 other trees researching the Boulton`s.  Thanks for replying.  Dave.

I know I`m 4 years behind according to the date on the last post about this topic but I thought I`d try anyway.  Is anyone any further forward in finding Millicent Adeline ?  She was my 2nd cousin twice removed (from the Boulton side of the family)

Staffordshire / Re: Staffordshire Colliery Deaths
« on: Saturday 07 January 12 18:50 GMT (UK)  »
Thomas Berrisford of 18, Jervis Street, Adderley Green died 30th March 1906 at Adderley Green Colliery.  Reference - England & Wales National Probate Calendar(Index of Wills & Administrations)1861-1941.

The reference does not say how he died, whether it was an accident or other reason ?
I have checked the "Coal Mining History Resource Centre" but it does not list this death.
