that is indeed my g/g`s medal card and i`ve just found out that it was likely
he served with one of the Cheshire-based brigades of the Royal Field Artillery.
most likely being.
342 (CCCXLII) Brigade RFA (previously the 2nd/1st Cheshire Brigade). France and Palestine.
i should be able to obtain a search now through the cheshire regiment archive.

re: william vickers - i believe he died in a farming accident,aged 57,  falling off a thrashing machine and having concussion, and never regained consciousness.

hi
looking for information about Joseph Vaughan Vickers born in Bronington Flintshire in 1885.
died 8th feb 1961 in a motorcycle accident in hoole.

has a son buried in blacon cemetary William Ewart Vickers.

particularly interested in the war service of my relatives. Joseph was in the royal artillery in ww1 and his son was in the pioneer corps in ww2.

any help gratefully received.

i have been to previous bucksoc meetings and spoke to a few people.

i wont be there on friday but would like to enlist the help of someone from the area
in the near future to help with my research. especially as i dont have the time to go to the
archives in hawarden as they're only open during working hours.

i run the website www.buckleyatwar.webs.com and have been tracing all the names off the war memorial.

I have been able to find most on the commonwealth graves website but am struggling to find a few.
if anyone has any information on any of the following i would be very grateful.
