Hi

Thanks for the reply, I've not been to the museum, may pop in when I walk into town next time (when it stops raining!). Since I posted this I found:

John William Taylor (I guess he did the ususal and used his middle name as first) B 1877, M 1902 to Ellen Mears, D Dec 1945.

Elsie Mary Taylor B Sep 1911, M Sep 1932 to James W Jakins and unfortunately died 2010

In the 1911 census there is a record of John Williamm Taylor and Ellen Taylor living in West End (I only have the free access so do not have full details), so I am presuming Ellen was pregnant and Elsie was born in my house??

Hi all

I'm not 100% whether this is the right forum to discuss this but I am interested in researching the history of the people living in my house (rather than my family which I have already done). I have the deeds for the sales dating back to 1904 with a number of names, which I was wondering whether there are any decendants out there.

The first name I can see is a William John Taylor died around 1945 (wife Ellen Taylor died around 1969), who I think originally purchased the house from new in 1904. It was passed onto a Elsie Mary Jakins in 1969 (who I believe is their daughter), whom I think sold straight away (without living in it) to the gentlemen we purchased off. The house is in West End, Whittlesey, Cambs.

It would really make my day if I can find some old photos of my house & maybe take photos of what it used to look like & what it looks like now.

Sorry if I am in the wrong place
 :D
