Ros Are you still looking for the photo because I have one, showing my father's grandfather at the door of the shop (yes, 71). No date but the family story is that he looked very like Edward VII and certainly didn't discourage the similarity, travelling on the continent and trading on the Prince Regent's use of anonymity. The original photo is very bleached and with damage but my bro-in-law has done a super job with Photoshop yesterday.
We also have a family bible with deaths and births recorded, and a collection of photos, mostly unnamed or dated of the family. My grandmother was Dorothy Henrietta Loeber.
