Hello, may I piggyback onto this site. I am related to the Campbells, but not as yet linked with Drogheda.....B U T    I am a Kierans !   My Gt.x2 Grandfather was a Francis Kierans, a surveyor of Distilleries and Maltsters,in Drogheda in 1861.As far as I know he appears to have been born in Drogheda in about 1841.He did have  at least one son, Robert Raymond Kierans. I do not know much more about him (Francis) or his family of the time so any help here would be most welcome.

Hello, I am in need of assistance please. I have been trying to find one SAMUEL LOGAN,Sgt of the 1st(kings)Dragoon Guards, failing dismally. I know he was born about 1780 give or take the usual. He definately married,in Loughborough in 1802,I have the record entries. There is a possibility he was a Quartermaster...... this from the K.D.G. Museum, but no more info.   By 1831,his daughters marriage, he has died. I have tried the normal routes plus the Waterloo rolls and cannot find him.At that young an age I can only guess he may have died in conflict. I am unable to travel distances due to a spinal injury on duty, therefore may I ask of the help of you oracles please.     Thank you, David.

Barbara, great to be in  touch with you.  Mum knew of the passing of Edward,Henry and Ethel but is only aware of a William Knight Pedder.   Whoodat? Is that your Edward's brother or maybe she's got it mixed up.     Mum lived with Ethel and George Knight Campbell, her parents and my Grandparents, on Springwood Avenue, just around the corner from Mums and my old School.... Gilmour Springwood Primary School. I actually went to school there with a Laurence Pedder.  I often wondered if he was a relative of ours.Do you know of him?He would be about 21  ...... no I lied ... about 60 now. Ha Ha!        Speak soon, give my very best to your Edward and any other relatives  of course. Can you send your e/m address in a private message on this site??     Best regards,   David.

Quite understand. I believe I know who it is and I have been trying to contact a member of the family for years. Suffice to say .... clue .... one of the children of a different name is buried with William ... now I think it may be a descendant of that name ..... but check first with them to see if it is o.k. Tell them I am the grandson of George Knight Campbell and Ethel Stoll. Wonderful to be in contact. Thank you for your correspondance with us both. Speak soon.   David
