I'll look out for bright green. This is no4 !

You say when we arrived her in xxx. Where did you come from ?

Someone from Stanhope went to S Africa and they have a winery and a travel lodge there. One of the family was murdered about three years ago.

:) Hi I have only just found this site

I have been looking at my Rippons for 3 years or so. I know all about the Durham Market Place William and his daughter Elizabeth who married Mr Ferguson the Draper of Durtham. No issue and I know of the velum docs in Durham Archives. I have a VERY detailed tree - about 6 A4 pages including the Brancepeth lot.

I should be pleased to let you have a copy if you can tell me how to send by post (I can't get all the lines in on the computer so draw them)   We have researched all the papers that are available for this SATLEY line.  We also have trees of the MP Rippon who had illegitimate children who lived at Stanhope.

There is a VERY old gent (must be in his 90's) who lives in Satley and married a Rippon. He worked on a farm up there. He knows a lot.

Hope I make contact to help you. I can fill in quite a lot.

Regards  John Rippon in North Wales.

 :) Hi Hirdy

I have just found this site. For three years I have been researching the RIPPON family. I see you were chatting to trish1120 re our lot.

I have a very detailed tree with the Wm Rippon of Mrket Place Durham Provisions Merchant and Wine and Spirit Merchant and his daughter who ran the outfit together. The Daughter married the Draper of Durham Richard Ferguson. No issue and LOTS of money went to Wesleyan long life associates. Many details of the Brancepeth lot and Lanchester and Satley Farm. One very old gent who married a Rip pon  (must be into his 90s) is still alive in Satley and knows a hell of a lot.  One female Rippon married a Robinson and he changed his name to Rippon so confusing.

Also I know things about the Stanhope ones of whom one was an MP with illegitimate children.

Regards. Have a great Christmas.

If you can give me a method of sending by post a copy of this 6 A4 page production, I shall be very happy to so do.

Regards. John Rippon in North Wales
