Hi JenB  :)

Could it be Dec 1871 Colchester Alfred Bunting and Eliza Coles?

Hi Tina

There is marriage of an Alfred Bunting in the December Q of 1867 in Houghton (le Spring).  One possible spouse is Elizabeth Downen.  It seems likely that that this is your couple.

Cumberland / Re: Where is Wyndham Row?

Many thanks Carole, this has narrowed it down considerably.  Now I just have to work out which one of the (several) births in the Cockermouth district is her.   :-\

Cumberland / Where is Wyndham Row? COMPLETED THANKS
« on: Saturday 22 June 13 23:55 BST (UK)  »
I have someone who stated that she was born in Hindhamrow, Cumberland in about 1845.  Please can anyone suggest roughly where this was/is?  Many thanks.

Oops!  Must remember to check the original against my research - inexplicably I have this recorded as Hindhamrow when it is clearly Wyndham Row.

G****e has this as in the Cockermouth district, so I think that I might have solved it.

Apologies.

Northumberland Lookup Requests / Re: 1861 look up please
« on: Monday 27 May 13 13:13 BST (UK)  »
The only one that I can find:

1861 Armhouses, Sandy Brow, Capheaton

John Rochester       Head       43 1818 Shepherd
Elizabeth Rochester Wife        44 1817
Ann Rochester        Daughter 10 1851 Scholar
William R Rochester Son          5 1856

All b Kirkwhelpington

I realise that the wife is wrong, but there is a marriage between John Rochester and Jane Davison in Q Dec 1867.  Possibility that Elizabeth was the first wife and Jane the 2nd?  In looking closer, I also see that the children don't all match, so maybe this isn't the correct family.  Apologies.

BTW, the 4 previous dwellings in 1861 are Clock Mill, Capheaton, all Rochesters, and all rellies of mine.....  :)
