Hi Malcolm,
Could you please look up two names for me. Both of my Great Grandfathers served with the British Army in the Boer War before eventually emigrating to Canada and joining the CEF.
I know almost nothing about William James Horsley. I found the exact name on the rolls of the 1st Railway Pioneers, but have no independent corroboration that it is him. He survived and was killed at Courcelette in 1916.
Thomas Phillips was at Ladysmith in 1900. After the war he became a guard at Buckingham Palace.
I would appreciate any information you can find.
