My great great grandfather was a "famous" bonesetter and Congregational Minister in Broughton, near Wrexham. He came there in 1869 and was already regarded as a "famous' bonesetter before taking up the post. What I would like to find out is how he would have learnt this skill. He was born in Barmouth, Wales, but spent many years in Angelsey. Was it a skill that was easy to pick up? Or did he learn it by trial and error?

Hi James

If you go on to Ancestory.com and look up the Craymer name the family history goes all the way back to Germany. In the early 1700's, the family seem to have moved to the UK when Queen Anne first allowed German immigration, mainly to populate America. The Craymers came to England with 7 other families because of their brass making expertise.

All very interesting.

Thought you might be interested - my brother has added the Craymer family tree to Ancestory.com. It traces the family back to Germany. If you have any information about the family you can contact me at:*

I am a direct descendant of James Craymer. My brother has published on line (Ancestory.com) an extension of this branch right back to Germany.
