The Common Room / need a middle man/woman in UK
« on: Thursday 15 December 11 08:48 GMT (UK)  »
hello all,

since i live in canada, ordering BMD certificates from the GRO and having them shipped sometimes takes upwards of up to, in some cases, 6 weeks. i was wondering if anyone here would be interested in a deal where for each certificate i order i will also buy one for you as well in exchange for the certificates being mailed to your address in the UK. in return all i ask is that they are scanned ASAP and e-mailed to me. not sure if this is even allowed on these boards but thought i'd ask anyway. drop me a message if you're interested.

thanks.

Definitely sign up for the World Edition as it incorporates all.

Not to sound like a shill but I wouldn't be anywhere without Ancestry.

Would sign - not a UK resident thus it doesn't allow me  :-\

Hope this passes but my wallet doesn't.

I got a test done by Ancestry approximately a year and a half ago. Had quite a few matches but didn't receive any replies  :'(

I'm still interested in the subject and I'll probably end up purchasing another test from a different organization with more users.

I can't justify shelling out that kind of money for certificates unless I'm a direct descendant of that individual.

Cork / Re: callaghans

hello,

a great grandfather, james callaghan, married a great grandmother, mary ann smyth in approximately 1843 in cork. james' parents were michael callaghan and mary finn. james and family later migrated to england and scotland.

let me know if this rings any bells.
