My great uncle Archie Lyness was in the Royal Irish Rifles, and I have also a B special photo with some other men in the photo.

Hello,

I am convinced they are all related in one way or another, I have a photograph of Drumgor Orange Lodge 1920 with some Lyness men Thomas and Archie my granfather and great uncle , do you think there would be a Russell's in it.

If you can supply me your email address I can send you a copy.

Douglas,

Hello,

Thank you for your reply on the Russell's of Drumgor , I would be interested in any Lyness connection.

The Irish writer  George Russell family came from Drumgor, the families from these small townlands of Drumgor , Moyraverty and Lageacorry were well connected.

My great grandfathers will Thomas Lyness was witnessed by a Isaac Russell .

Hello,

yes I have come across Wright Lyness's from Drumgor. Wright and Marcella immigrated to America and had two children , Thomas and Deborah, ( funny this is my grandparents names)

Wright was a great military man like so many other men from Drumgor.

If you have any other Lyness info I would love to hear from you.

I have a photo of Wright Lyness.
