Hi
Thanks to Andarah for info I never thought that I would get any further than Henry Baker & Elizabeth Rowlands.  Paul I remember my mum telling us that her cousin had a butchers shop, I thought his name was Richard Baker & I thought the shop was on the road that went past aintree racecourse. My dad's family lived on Longmoor Lane. I am still in contact with the Bakers in Oz, but lost contact with the Bakers that lived in Maghull. I have tried to reply to you, but I am blocked, may because I am a guest member, I will have get my son to assist next week.

I've just discovered this thread
My mother's uncle was Thomas Trezise Baker & her brother was Rowlands Trezise Baker who emigrated to Australia in the 1920's with his brother Ernest, Rowlands died in Roseberry Tasmania 1959 & Ernest died in Sydney. Rowlands christian name came from his mother Elizabeth Rowlands who married Henry Baker in Liverpool at St Phillip's church in 1847 their eldest son was William Rowlands Baker, the use of the mothers maiden name has helped me find my ancestors, now Trezise has helped me find another link. I would like to hear from Paul with more information.
