Clare
I regret I am not related but have a fair bit on this family.
I am to be found in the white building across from the entrance to the Church of the Holy Rude in Stirling - I don't know where you are in Stirlingshire, but, if it is convenient, just call in - you are welcome to anything I have.

Regards
Tony

Peter MacGregor was born as Peter Ferguson on 22 November 1862 in St Ninians - his mother was Catherine Ferguson but I can find no evidence of her marriage to Peter MacGregor

The two dates refer to the Banns being called in the respective parishes of residence of the Bride & Groom - simple as that

Stirlingshire / Re: DEATH DUE TO ACCIDENT

Killearn Hospital was used by the military during WWII and later became a centre of excellence in neuro surgery.  It was superceded when the new Neuro-surgical unit was opened at the Southern General in Glasgow.  If the date of birth is as given in the earlier message, I would doubt a military reason for his admittance - he would have been too old - unless he was serving in the Merchant Navy
