hello Charmaine,
I have made contact with Flora's grand daughter in NZ she has given me copies of wonderful photos of Maria, if you have access to Google Picasa, I can give you access to my web album. Anne has also filled in some gaps but I'm still trying to find out more about Maria's NZ movements, still a work in progress.
Re- Cuthbertson and Durham, Anne chased them through available English census'.
I'm glad to assist but I'm a vvvery slow typists, really a cut and paste man, the size of the file is too large for a post, if you forward your email address through a personal message or the email address I sent via a pm, I'll send you the lot.
PS. I'm going away shortly and will be unavailable until around mid Nov.

Australia / Children of Sheila Vera Scott nee Thomas
« on: Tuesday 25 September 12 11:47 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find the names of two sons born to Frederick Charles SCOTT, dob 1916 and Sheila Vera THOMAS. dob abt1915.
Sheila's parents, father; Edward Thomas. hairdresser, Mosman. mother; Hilda Blanche Squires.
Possible siblings of Sheila? Sydney Alfred THOMAS, hairdresser Mosman, died 1991? & Edward John THOMAS, Hairdresser Mosman, died 1964.
Sheila Vera THOMAS, married Frederick Charles SCOTT, at St Clements Church, Mosman, NSW. on 28 Apr 1937. Frederick never returned to his family, after WW2.
They had two sons 1937 & abt 1940, names unknown, St Clements Church, baptism records for that period are lost in achieves somewhere and a professional researcher was unable to unearth their names.
Going by NSW BDM, a Sheila Vara SCOTT (possible transcription error) married Norman KEIG, 1959, Sydney.

Any help appreciated.
Robert.
