Antrim / Re: Sloan family of Ballycregagh.

Many thanks for the overwhelming responses! Firstly, the religion is Presbyterian. William (1845?-1929) emigrated to NZ not Australia (a common misconception) He married Elizabeth McGee of Drumnagee in 1875. Their children were Margaret Jane, Matilda Gregg, Mary, David, James McGee, William & Eliza. My wife is descended from James McGee Sloan.
The 1851 census fragment also shows another Sloan family in Ballycregagh William aged 78, Esther 75, James (son) 31, Elizabeth (his wife married 1850) & William 11(nephew). I do not know if there is any relationship with our Sloan family. The only other information I have is that David Sloan's farm was leased from a William Cleary (Griffiths Valuation).

David Sloan married Matilda ??? (possibly Gregg) in 1845. Their eldest son William emigrated to NZ in the 1870's. Second? son David inherited the farm in 1893 (will). Looking for any birth or marriage records.

 Hi,
I'm Norm (from NZ) I am descended from the Turbeville's of Birlingham (Worcs.) Eleanor Turbevil (le) married Henry Hunt in 1733 and had two children, Thomas in 1734 & Elizabeth in 1736. Henry died in 1740. Eleanor married John Holloway of Hanley Castle in 1745. Est. birth for Eleanor is around 1715 but is she the daughter of William & Margaret or John & Ester? and who do William & John  descend from? Their grandparents are likely to be John T & Elizabeth Godsaw (M. 1665). Does anyonbe have further information please?
   Thanks, Norm

Hi I'm Norm (in New Zealand) my link is via Margaret Hankins of Worcester who married John Martin Holloway (1780). She was the daughter of Edward Hankins & Ann Barton. His parents were William & Ursula. Williams parents were William married to Susannah Elton both of Ledbury. Looking for both their births and who was Ursula?
