'fraid I can't help with William but will be interested to know if he fits into the family tree and his relation to Ifor Morgan, if you find one.
I found that the Tredegar website is a good place to ask for information sometimes. There are some knowledgeable people there about the history of the area.
Good luck.

Thank you for your reply.

I repeat my thanks to everyone who has participated, some information was gained, some was not but even this helped a lot because it has eliminated areas of possible interest.

I am grateful to everyone who has helped but am finding this particular thread difficult and I think any inference to false representation will be offensive to family who may later find these posts online - because they will come up on any google for many years to come.

I do thank everyone for helping, but I think this thread needs to end.
Thanking you all.

Thank you! There are very few Noel Thomas' so I will follow this up and see if I can find a bit more.
Very grateful.

Extra note to clarify for Jacquie in Canada

I will just repeat again- to clear up any confusion
that the Nigel name was a mistake on the part of a kind looker-uper some years ago.
And that I have seen a photo of Noel taken at Chesterfield Station where he worked for a while and he is the same person as in my photo.
So this person I am seeking info about is NOEL ERNEST THOMAS. This is correct.

United States of America / Morgan family from S. Wales to Pennsylvania
« on: Friday 16 May 14 01:53 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I am looking for any information about the time they spent in USA and family information of Ivor Morgan and his wife Mary, & daughter Enid, who travelled to Pennsylvania and lived there between 1927 and 1933 before returning to Wales.
So, I thought perhaps, if I post the information below - which is all we have of this period of their lives -, it might be possible to find information relating to their stay in USA. Ivor was initially going to a Cousin, W.H. Kess or Kees, at 1273 Birbeck St., Freeland, PA. That's all I know about him.

I have details of their lives before and after the event in Wales and their family history, so it is just information regarding the Pennsylvania time that I am looking for.
 Many thanks

IFOR MORGAN  was born in 1900, in S.Wales, to William Morgan and Mary Jane Morgan.
Ifor Morgan, aged about 20, married Mary Louise Lambert, aged about 16, in June 1921 in Bedwellty,Monmouthshire.

MARY LOUISE LAMBERT  was born about 1904, in Gelligaer Parish, Glamorgan, Wales, to Thomas
Henry Lambert and Louisa Thomas

Mary and Ifor had two children:

ENID M MORGAN was born in March 1922, in Bedwellty, Monmouthshire, to Ivor Morgan and Mary Louise Morgan [Lambert]
NOTE: Enid later emigrated to Canada (Montreal/Ottowa, I think. She had a son Michael).

ERIC MORGAN was born in 1936 to Ivor Morgan and Mary Louise Morgan [Lambert], Wales

Thank you Breaky. No, I didn't have this. Very grateful for it.
I have researched to establish names and dates through the usual popular sites. I found it incredible difficult to research Scottish records. And not being familiar with the area, didn't really know where to start there.
So, I have names and dates as posted but nothing else. So, I was trying to discover what I could about the people I had found. Awful lot of Browns in Scotland .

Can I ask about 'Broughty Ferry". I thought this was a mis transcription on another person and that he had 'bought a ferry"!!!  I gather it is a place?
Thank you.
