Hello Rockford,  Just had confirmation the name is Jean (Johan) Duncan Campbell from another source as well as yourself Rockford.   Many thanks to all the wonderful people who helped this this puzzle.

Hello

I think the mother's name on the original scan might be Jean Duncan Campbell, Carpet Factory Worker (deceased)

Best wishes

Rockford

Hi Rosie,  Thanks for these replies.   Will look at Johan Linn as you suggest.
Is it possible that parents name may be Joanna Lundie.  Found with a Maria on 1881 Census at 22 Laing Street, Dundee.  Also found Ann Linn Patons death on Find my Grave with daughter Margaret died December 1918
Regards
clancam37.
Johann Linn birth 1855. Part information on family search.

As I thought I think there were several children born illegitimate to Maria Linn
They can be found on census records with Maria and her parents in Dysart

Good morning,  Is it possible the parents name could be Joanna Lundie?

This is a really tiny scan.

Are you able to scan just the word/s that are problematic at the highest and best scan, or divide it into parts and put them up.

Thanks

Hi Rosie,  Yes this is correct.  Trying to find her parents.
Thanks for Grand Mothers name
regards

As the others have said image a bit small to read ?
For reference only looking at the marriages 1903 I can see 2 with a middle name beginning with a L

Is it Annie Linn Campbell who married a Oliver Johnston Paton ?

This Ann Linn Campbell died 1918 Bonnyrigg

Birth for Ann Linn Campbell 1880 Dundee

This Annie can be found on the 1901 census 10 Hillhead Bonnyrigg with her grandmother Maria Campbell Annie's occupation carpet setter which matches occupation on marriage

Good morning,
Could you please decipher the name of the Bride's parent?
Would it be Mother or Father?
Kind regards

Australia / Re: More on Hiding in Tasmania

Could not find them in early Tasmanian Electoral Rolls.  Women had the vote from 1903 in Australia.  No deaths recorded --- still looking for deaths.

I have no idea how the electoral enrollment worked/works in Australia, but could he had been enrolled before he went to England?

I thought this was him going to London in 1910... I've noticed that he is mentioned in the newspaper ads in February but in March they only mentioned Mrs. Vernon.

Hi jorose,
Thanks for your reply.  Many thanks.  Your attachment from the deceased's daughter suggests this was not the person I'm seeking.   Back to searching, about 20 years now.

A John Campbell who died 14 Jul 1875 had an inquest.  52 years, Scotland.

But I think this is probably death 10542 / 1875 so can also be ruled out. Location doesn't fit, either.

Going up in number based on sparrett's suggestion, 10474/1875 appears to be Michael Deakin who died 30 July (if my calculations are correct) and inquest was 2 August.
