I have Campbells's and Donaldson's in my family tree the Campbell's being Jane b1851,Joanna b1843and Janet b1849 the parents being John Campbell and Jane Henderson b abt 1815-16.There is an a Elizabeth Donaldson b abt 1874 (from Glasgow)apparently a Neice of Joanna bit I'm not shore of whom her parents were as the info I have gleamed none of the 3 girls was married to a Donaldson.They were all from Clackmannanshire The information is from the 1901 census.

I'm looking for children of Alexander Dewar and Mary McCreadie from Maryhill Glasgow who came to Canada  around 1908 and after.I have 1 ship name the Hesperian
                             Names : Alexander Dewar b 1880     Baker
                                           James           "      b 1881     Plumber
                                           Daniel Gilchrist Dewar b 1882 Joiner
Any one recognizing these names  may be a relative of mine.

Hi Kinsey It sounds like my James he went to Canada in 1908 on the Hesperian,with another brother Gilchrist (Daniel),his other brother William was b 1889 so the age is right.I'll check out the Clark connection myself while my voucher lasts.

Problem solved there Daniel Gilchrist Dewar born 19 Oct 1882(thank you Scottish person) I thought women only dropped a few yrs of there age .Seems he may have used either name at times.Only Lizzie,Katie S and William and I'll be there.

Hi yes I came across him the birth date is only a year out (but I,m taking birth dates from census details and they are wrong at times as in his sister Jane born in 1878 not 1879 as the census said) and  Daniel's occupation was a joiner in 1901 . I can't find a birth cert for either a Gilchrist or Daniel in 1883 at the Scottish Persons web site .But Daniel shows up coming back to Scotland from Canada around 1923.Things seem to be coming together now.I'll just get my pipe and Sherlock some more.

More Problems Seems I have a Gilchrist b1883 and a Daniel b1883 never seen together so they may be the same person(I hope)

Seems I have found another sibling Jane 2 yrs old I'll Have to check that.That is my Great Grandparents my Grandmother Margaret (Maggie) was born in 1885.
