Family History Beginners Board / Re: Pease search please ! Am I missing something..??

Hi MaggiesGD thanks for looking, there seem to be so many George Pease in the area and at around that time, I was hoping that a fresh pair of eyes would see something that i'd missed !

It could be just a coincidence as you say, and i'm pretty sure the only way i will find out is to order a cert ! Most of the Pease children, grandchildren etc i'm finding have been named after their other realtives through the line so I'd throught it was possible that the george pease born 1908 could belong to us!

Thanks very much for all of your help, I'm most grateful, kind regards Tina x

Hello everyone again,  I put a post up a few days ago and got a fab response that really helped me so i'm after your help again.

I recevied some really interesting information and but also some unanswered questions...

I was told about a possbile Child name unknown on the 1911 census that could be part of my family tree.
I would be grateful if you could have another look at the details i was given by a very kind rootschat memeber...

Dad George Pease born abt 1881 in london, married Lucy Jocelyn (or Jacelyn) born 1885 kentish town, London. Living 89 Ivy rd, cricklewood.  Children Thomas William born 1909, Elise May born 1911, Lenonard Stephen born 1914, Violet, Gertrude born 1920, Harold, Renee born 1930.

Now i was told that on the 1911 census Thomas is listed - was 1 and half, two chidlren born but the other child had died.  The child is un-named.

I have been looking for this child, and it was hinted that on the bdm there was a George Pease born 1908 and died in 1908 (hackney) which fits time wise and placement. And of course back then most first born were named after their fathers !

But i'm unable to cross refer this with either of the parents.

Has anyone out there got some sort of access to the bdm of approx 1908 and could tell me the names of this poor child george pease !

I've had a look at this timeline, but i cannot access all of the information or i'm missing something !!

Or is my only option to order a certificate for this poor soul and see if he belongs to my family tree,

Thanks very much for reading, Kind regards Tina.x

Hello everyone, I'm after a bit of help.  I have just started to research my family history and have become stuck !  I'm trying to find out about my great grandfather George Pease.

George Pease was born abt 1881 in London, married Lucy Jocelyn in 1907 and died abt 1932.
Somewere in between they moved from London to Leigh on sea.  He was a french polisher and use to travel up to London every day and enjoyed his drink ! So much so that he got run over outside Leigh Elms pub and ended up in hopstial and later died in there. Between them they had 7 children including my nan, but they have mostly passed on now and no one else in the family knows much !!

I had a few ideas on trying to trace him, as he was run over I wondered if this would have been listed in the local paper, but i have no idea as to what paper was around in the 1930's.  He also work wise, worked in London, a french polisher, a trade of sorts, is there any way i can find him though his employment.

I also cannot tell if he had any other siblings nor the names of his parents

I would be really grateful if anyone can give me any tips, thanks for reading, Tina x
