The Common Room / Re: Family Search Error Message
« on: Monday 24 November 25 10:21 GMT (UK)  »
You may have the same problem as me. Family Search recently updated some of their site.  If your phone or computer isn’t up to date it will no longer be able to show much of their content.  I can view on 5 year old phone but not on 8 year old computer.

The original is on Ancestry UK.  I can’t get to see it at the moment.

There’s also  will for a Thomas Mears living in Whitechapel in 1851.
Thomas Mears late Bell Founder of Canterbury.

There’s a will for him, which I’m not able to look at just now.  This just might have his original signature on it.

This must be Alice and Evan in 1911, showing that Evan was born c.1863

Baldwin Street, St.Lukes   Married 12 years
Evan Williams   48
Alice Williams    44
Gladys Williams    7
Claud Evan Williams    5

There’s an Alice E. in 1939 born 03/10/1866 but her surname is Childs.

The 1765 posted by Kay is on Ancestry.  The marriage licence is on Family Search, showing that Mary was born c.1744

The 1776 will for J’ony leaves everything to his wife Susannah.  So not overly helpful at this stage.

Family History Beginners Board / Re: Missing GRO record for Henry Harris?!

I’ve just looked on the GRO site.  They give the page number as 384

Added: MMN Heard.  Does that sound right?
Adding more:  I don’t think that’s it.  There’s no middle initial for the 384 one. And March quarter.  Sorry, definitely the wrong one.
