Wow! I am flatterred that anyone remembers me. Yes that was I and perhaps we could begin another thread for this topic. The Heaton Park prefabs must have gone sometime in the late sixties but I think most of the people I knew had moved before the prefabs went. As Maureen has already posted there is very little archive material about them but the Prestwich and Whitefield Guide has some photographs and there is a local historian called
(*) who would be a good source of information.

[Hi! my name is Gerard Van Hecke and I also attended Our lady of Grace Primary School at the same time as you. I had a friend called Thomas who lived in the prefabs opposite the Ostrich pub on Bury Old Road. (*)? Do you have any knowledge of him?

It sure is the same Murray. (*) still lives in the Blackley area. His sisters,(*) both died at a young age.
Do you remember the mobile library and the mobile clinic that stunk of meths?  What address were you at?
