Hi Monica
Thanks for your welcome and for advising me of the "living persons" rule.
My father, who was born in Airdrie in 1912, passed away in 1996.
In a few months we will be celebrating his 100th.
Regards,
Tom

Hello Contributors
I don't know what I might have got into here (if anything) but I believe the 3 Ellis brothers may be my great uncles.
My grandmother was Christina Ellis who attended Garvieside School, and I have a "Certificate of Merit" from the West Calder School Board (original document) for the school year ended 31 May 1883.
My grandfather was Thomas Anderson (don't know of middle names) and they had 6 children that I know of, including my father, (*), and they lived in Airdrie.
I grew up knowing I had uncles (great-uncles obviously) who played for Mossend Swifts and I have misty memories of seeing Ellis relatives during my young days in the 1960s, including 3 great-aunties who lived in East Kilbride.
Boy, if I could find out anything interesting out of this I would be thrilled.
Canisp, the Scottish Football Historian booklet would be of great interest and I would be happy to pay for a copy if one was available, or at least receive a scan copy of the article.
I left Scotland as an 18 yo in 1973 and now live in Australia with no contact whatsoever with any relatives.
Regards to all.
