Hello again
Thankyou Tom and Jimmuck.
Jimmuck, I have sent an email to you re Reid and a possible Australian connection.
Tom, Charles Moore with his wife Agnes, aerated water manufacturer was at 155 Morduant St Bridgeton Glasgow in the census of 1891.  I am unsure if his place of birth was N Ireland or Glasgow, 1867.  I understand that he later married a Margaret Simpson.
Regards
Jo

Ireland / Re: McGrory surname Ireland
« on: Wednesday 04 July 07 10:46 BST (UK)  »
Hello Celia
The name was Anthony McGrory, born Ireland.  Yes I have tried the IGI for Ireland and nothing there.  I do know that some of the family of Anthony McGrory and Isabella Rafferty later lived in Campbeltown Argyllshire Scotland.  I have a letter written from one of their descendants to my great grandfather in 1930.  Have tried the Argyllshire Mailing List but unable to contact anyone researching the family.
I thank you for your reply, but maybe someday someone will find this message here.  I am open to suggestions!
Jo

Argyllshire / Re: Name change? MACMATH to MATHIESON
« on: Thursday 28 June 07 11:24 BST (UK)  »
Hello Paul
I have McMaths from Campbeltown whose surname also changed from McMath to Mathieson at that time.  Have you been able to find out whether it was something that happened to all McMath families?  I have no Angus McMath; our tree is from a Duncan born c1809 Campbeltown to Duncan McMath and Isobel McLarty.

Ireland / McGrory surname Ireland
« on: Thursday 28 June 07 11:11 BST (UK)  »
Hello folks
I am looking for anyone researching the surname McGrory in Ireland.  Unfortunately I don't know how I can get records for Ireland.  The birth was in 1826, with some family going to Campbeltown Scotland, and others had migrated to the USA in the late 1700's
Anyone researching the name or any ideas on where to go with this?
Thanks
