Thanks for the replies.  If you run across a living Wylde male descended from these folks, please let me know, or put him in touch with me!!

Denbighshire / Wilde or Wylde family of Holt

I am seeking male Wilde or Wylde family members from Holt for a DNA study.   A very early pedigree of this family is in History of the Poyws Fadog, ending in Thomas Wilde, fl. 1500.  The Worcester Wylde family is said to be descendants, and I am interested in seeing if there is a DNA relationship to me.  I am descended from Thomas Wilde, d. c. 1634 in Radnorshire.

I am underwriting this effort, so please get in touch!   I'm interested in the Denbigh family especially in the period from 1450 to 1650.

I am seeking direct, male line Wyldes from the family descended from Simon Wylde, fl. 1524, whose descendants include the family that held the Commandary and other lines.  Simon Wylde was said to have been a great grandson of Jenkin Wylde of Denbighshire, and indeed the 3 Martlets coat of arms is the same as for that Welsh family in History of the Powys Fadog.

I am involved in a DNA study of Wilde/Wylde.  My own family was from Radnor and shows a distant kinship to the Nottingham Wylde family, which also used the 3 martlets coat of arms.   So I am eager to test Wylde men from the Worcester family to see if they also match.

My ancestor Samuel Wild, b. c. 1682, went to America and added the "s".

Radnorshire / Wilde / Wild family Llanbister, Llandewi Ystradenny

I am seeking descendants of Thomas Wilde, d. c. 1635, of Llandewi Ystradenny and wife Katherine, who died in Llanbister.  I think most of the Welsh Wilde descendants are through Edward Wilde of Llanbister, born about 1709.

Happy to share my research, and also am seeking direct male line Wildes for a DNA study.

My ancestor Samuel Wild (born about 1682) went to America where the name became Wilds....
