Hi
Thanks for taking the time to contact me, it has been a long time since I was on here :)
I have been a bit busy, but plan on spending some time on this in the summer. I will look into the newspaper,  I had not thought of it.

Kindest

Jacqui

Hi

Looking for any info on the parents/siblings of Thomas Widdison b. 1812 in Hoyland. I have him on the 1841 census with his wife and children in Elescar.

Thanks

Hi
I have traced my mothers side of the family to John Waterson c. 1790. I know he married Martha Dixon in 1826 in Escrick and they had a son William very soon after. Unfortunately I cannot find anymore about him. Could anyone help me
Thanks :)

Have done the Griffiths evaluation and found a Patrick Basquill in Kilbride also a Catherine Basquill living across the road from him. Not sure where to go from here though.

Thanks for the link about the flour dealer too, can't be too many Patick Basquills about at that time, so could be the one

I will look into the soldier, that could be useful, though there seems to have been quite a few Basquill families turning up in Stockport at the same time

I am trying to find out about the parents of William Waterson, born in 1826 in Escrick, all I know is his father's name was John and his mother was Martha.

I would be grateful for any information

I am trying to find out about Patrick Basquill born in 1844 in Castlebar. I have been told, but can find no evidence, that his father was  Patrick James Basquill b 1814 also in Castlebar.
Patrick b 1844 appears in the 1871 census in Stockport Cheshire married to Mary Giles also from Ireland.

If anyone has information that could help I would be really grateful
