Lanarkshire / Re: The Dragoonis family

My husband was George Dragoonis, since deceased, who came to Birmingham but his brothers Billy and Richard lived in Mayfield Road, Glasgow.  Richard came to England and married, since deceased,  but Billy stayed in Glasgow until he died. The parents were Sarah and William Dragoonis but we don't know how or when William came to Scotland,  the family tree is a mystery.  We do think that they may have originated from Lithuania but don't know much more.

As some of the replies state Russian this could be a link.

Thanks

Ann

Did anyone know of the Dragoonis family from Glasgow?

I don't know if it was originally a Scottish name or where my family originated from.

Can't seem to  find any family history.

Thanks

Ann

Yes it is but the posts were done in 2007 so I don't know how to contact the authors who  posted it.   I would love to find out more from them.  My mom has photos of some of the graves and is related.

I am new to this so am not really sure how to use it.

Thanks

I have saw other members post information about my distant relatives on here and thought I would check how they are related.
Lewis John Pedley who died 7/2/1893 aged 48.  If anyone is related it would be great to know.
