Hello again,
I have received some information from an older family member that William was discharged early because of a stomach problem. He was told he needed an operation but refused as other soldiers had died following this procedure.
Because of his refusal, he was declined a war pension.
Could this be true or a story to tell the family. ????
Ann.

Hi, I'm looking for my husbands grandfather's WW1 service records.
William Porter Edwards b 21.12.1894.
Royal Warwickshire Regiment.
Reg no. 266721. Cpl.
I fear that the service records may have been lost in WW11 as the few sites I have been on show no one from the Royal Warwickshire
Many thanks.

What I should have added is that my family name is Kearney from a small village called Spink outside Castlebar (the village I believe no longer exists).

Hi,
A few years ago we found an R.I.P. card for Mary Kate O'Reilly who died in 1st July 1918 aged 15 years and 6 month in Belmullet, Co. Mayo. We found it whilst sorting out my uncles peronal effect after he died.
Apart from a prayer, that was all that was on the card.
Nobody in our large family knew of her, can you help please.
Regards,
Ann.
