I'm looking for any further information about my grandfathers leg amputation that occurred in about 1925. I know that the available newspapers online go to 1919, so I can't search 1925.

My gf would have been about 9 when he lost his leg on the winding gear. He was born on Lanwern Rd, so I am assuming that the nearest colliery Dan's Muck Hole would have been the colliery. He survived the accident so it is not listed in mining accidents or disasters. He clearly would have required hospitalization but again I'm drawing a blank as to how to find out any further information.

Can anybody help or assist in suggesting further steps? Unfortunately all surviving relatives have since died who could provide further information.

Thanks for reading, hope you can help!

Hi Victoria,

I am descended from John's son Paul. I've been researching for about 10 years on and off. I have a lot of information about Garmston ancestors in Shropshire, so I'm looking for a link between them and the rest of the family.

I would welcome any sourcing and information. Are you on ancestry? I would be happy to share my research with you. Thanks for your reply.

Lindsey

I'm looking for information pertaining to JOHN GARMSTON born maybe in Shropshire c1665 and died Bristol 1745, I am aware of his children John, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Paul.

I am looking for where he was born or information about his early life. I have a lot of information about Garmstons in Shropshire and as a consequence Australia and America, but as of yet have been unable to find who came to Bristol in the 1660-90's.

Can you help? I have previously researched myself in the BRO, but now live in the Midlands with a new baby so am unable to come to Bristol.

Thanks is advance if anyone is able to help!

Dear Marilyn and Derek,

I was wondering whether you'd had any luck with Thomas Tee of Maidwell (1761)? I am hoping to give my Step father his family tree for his birthday and hat is as far as I have got on the Tee's. He is descended from Thomas' son John who married Mary Wells.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Lindsey
