No - It's Jenninfer Russell - only one daughter. i have included full details of Dr russell's death in the previous email - yes, his second name was Ralph. I believe Jennifer has passed away, she was born in 1927 I think although I can't find either birth of death certs

Hi Folks,

thanks for the replies - great.  I'm beginning to think that the 1820settlers.com site has got the wrong James Weeks recorded.  The information you have posted is exactly what I keep coming up with - The James Weeks born to Joseph and Elizabeth only lived for a few days.  The question I need answered is - Which james Weeks Married Grace Ackerley in 1817 (they had a child, Elizabeth chr. 8 Feb 1818 Wesleyan, Penryn) and how does he fit into the Weeks/Wicks tree?
There is a James Weeks born in 1797 - could this be him?
Does anyone have a tree which takes James Weeks to South Africa 1n Jan 1820?   I have complete detailed tree from this point
cheers
Ralph

Cornwall / James WEEKS - Stithians

hi All
I'm having trouble tracing back from James Weeks - Christened 2 May 1791.  He emigrated to South Africa on the Weymouth - member of Osler’s party of 1820 settlers.  James Weeks was a pastrycook.  I have a complete tree of his descendants from that date but tracing back is a problem.  There are several James Weeks that come up when I do a search  - the Weeks family and the Wicks family have trees but the dates don't match up - most show several James Weeks, the nearest match being born 1797.  Also the 1820 settlers sites give James Weeks as the son of Joseph Weeks and Wife - Elizabeth - this doesn't seem to match either.  He married Grace Ackerley in 1816 according to 2 different 1820 settlers sites.
Any help would be much appreciated
cheers
