In the register of the church in Ennerdale Cumbria is a statement.
Andrew bap 5 March 1785 father Andrew WILSON or TYSON mother Hannah WILSON
Why would the two names be mentioned? I am confused!

Thank you for your reply. I have since found out that the register of St Mary's church in ennerdale
does state the fact that Hannah and Andrew were unwed at the time they baptized their son Andrew.
I now need to know whether or not Hannah and Andrew ever married. Appreciate your reply

I think my  gg grandfather worked at west house mill blubberhouses. Andrew Tyson. He married Sarah Robinson 1812 and she was from Fewston. Later in the piece Andrew Tyson went into partnership with Michael Robinson who had a lot to do with West House Mill. It went under the name Constantine and Co. Partners were Constantine, Michael Robinson and Andrew Tyson.

This search from the Public Records Office Victoria might be helpful.

http://prov.vic.gov.au/search_results?searchid=42&format=freetext&FamilyName=ranger&GivenName=thomas&Ship=&Destination=&Month=0&Monthto=0&Year=0&Yearto=0&SearchSortField1=&SearchRecords=25&x=0&y=0

Then perhaps try Papers Past for old NZ newspapers as often back then they printed passenger lists.
