London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / George Beynon Mellish
« on: Monday 02 July 12 15:55 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
George Beynon Mellish is shown on familyserch as being christened on 23 Nov 1823 at St Luke, Old Street Finsbury with his parents detailed as Thomas and Mary.
Can SKS help/advise on finding either a marriage record for Thomas/Mary or an 1841 census record for this family group?

George Beynon married Mary Ann Ross (GRO ref: Dec 1850 Islington 3 207)

Many thanks

Thanks everyone.
I also have 'Yfke' from a Danish friend. Somewhat more copmpliacted than I thought but Spendlove - you do indeed have the correct Effie Dale. I haven't seen anywhere a reference to Winifred... but
Many thanks

Derbyshire / A nickname question

A 1901 Matlock census record shows a young girl with the name 'Effie'. Would this have been a nickname and if so, what could have been her name?
Thanks

Many Thanks.
Once I put the census references together, it looks as though it could all fit linking into a much bigger family group that I already have identified.
Many thanks

Derbyshire Lookup Requests / Agnes Ann Stenson - 1891/1901C

Hi,
can SKS help, please?

I have the marriage record from Matlock of Agnes Ann Stenson to Mark William Bland on 19th December 1903 at St Peters, Derby. Agnes aged 22 (b.abt 1881) with her father listed as 'Henry'.
There's a GRO birth record, which looks to match, as Q4 1881 Derby 7b 525.

..but absolutely no trace of her on either the 1891 or 1901C. Not that I can find.
Can SKS look to through any light on her whereabouts on these censuses?
Thank you

Can SKS help, please?

I thought this would be an easy search but The Genealogist is not giving me any clues.
The family group should be:
James (b.abt 1831, Westminster), Emily (wife, b.abt 1949, Southwark. Maiden name was likely to have been Latimer), Ernest (son, b.abt 1880, Camberwell), Arthur (son, b.abt 1885, Hammersmith) and joseph (son, b.abt 1890, Hammersmith)

I believe that James died around 1907. I've no idea about Emily and/or the children)

I can find them on the 1881C (in part) and the 1891C (in part) but have no idea after that.

Can anyone help?
Thank you
