His son Francis is my Great Great Grandfather, and his son Robert Driesen is my Great Grandfather. His son, John Driesen, was my Grandfather, and emigrated to Australia after WW2. He had met my Nan in Australia when serving with the British army, and then returned to Aus once his service was finished and they were married. Their only child was my Mum, Louise Elizabeth Driesen.
Hi Georgina, Great to hear from you - I live in New Zealand. My Link to your Robert Driesen is very remote. Legacy says he is my greatuncle's wife's 2nd cousin ( work that out !) Francis Driesen (1797) was married to an Ellen Colophy. One of their daughters was Mary Ann, who married a William Walters. One of their daughters was Lucinda Elinor Walters, who married my greatuncle Reginald Edward Mills. If you are interested you can contact me at (*). The only information I have on John Jacob's parents is he was born in Germany c 1797 and died c1868 - his wife was Elizabeth Keehner born c 1796 in Germany. She died 3 Nov 1850 and is buried 11 Nove1850 at Wycliffe congrecational church.
