Hi Pastmagic ,

Thats very kind of you to look for these.  I had found the land tax records where Thos paid tax from 1796 to 1803 incl.  his son John was with him for a couple of those years until he moved away for abt 12 months.

I have the photos too of the gravestonestoo, though thank you for checking those.  I have quite a lotof info on our Devon 'mob'  however its trying to find the link that the offspring "were not born in Devon so where were they born" thats the problem!

Thanks for all your help though.

Hello Gwerninion,

Thank you for that link - I'd been searching for Cheshire parish records.  The names and dates are close - but not quite as John and his siblings married around 1800-02.  Unless of course they were either baptised later than their birth (ie John b1771 and baptised 1789) !!

Thanks for the info though as good reference lookup

Cheshire / Bosson family

I have been researching the Bosson family in Devon (1790 to 1900).  I have hit a brick wall with Thomas Bosson died 1823 in Stoke Rivers, Devon born about 1738.  He had (at least) 4 children John, Thomas, Ann, Mary all of whom were not born in Devon.  Thomas Snr and son John b1771 were yeoman at Stoke Rivers until 1802.

I'm guessing Thomas may have come from Cheshire - does anyone have any information or clues they can share.
