Hello Sharleen,
I have just spotted your interest in the Dewar family of Mackay.
I am a descendant of Isabella Dewar (Annie Young Dewar's sister).
I live in Western Australia and am travelling around Aust in a caravan and am at the moment in Mackay, Qld - I was just doing some searching around the internet for some cemetery information on the Dewar family when I came across your query.
I would love to exchange information on this family.

Hello Sue,
I have not logged off yet, I could not help myself.
With Eliza Cutts age on the census I was able to find her christening and parents on the IGI.
This is probably her family.
Parents John Cutts and Sarah
Chn Ann chr 1811, Sarah chr 1812, Susannah chr 1818, John chr 1820, Eliza chr 1823, Rebeckah chr 1824 and Emma chr 1828.
These children were all born in Bocking, Essex

Hello Sue & Alan,
I have the birth cert of Henry Rix which gave me his parents Charles Rix and Eliza Cutts so I  only guessed that the marriage I found on the FreeBMD was the right one, now that Charles Rix and Eliza Cutts were both in Stambridge at the same time in the 1841 census, I think my guess at their marriage is probably correct.  I have not purchased the marriage cert as yet, I was hoping Eliza might have been with her parents but not this time.
I would like to thank you both very much for all your help with this family.
I am unsubscribing from all the lists for a couple of weeks as I am heading to hospital to have a knee operation, but when I return home I will have lots of time to carry out reseach on the computer while I am house bound.
Regards Sue Barker

Hello Alan,
Another request please.
1841 census - Eliza Cutts or Coutts
I do not know a lot about Eliza except that she married Charles Rix in 1843 so I presume that she would be around the same age (abt 20yrs).
I do not know where she was born but they married in Stepney, Ldn so I am not even sure if she would have been in Essex in 1841.

Hello Sue,
As you have access to the 1861 census could you look for Henry Rix b abt 1845 Felsted (Dunmow) also his sister Caroline Eliza Rix b abt 1848 Dunmow
I have searched the 1861 census on 1837online but could not find them.
I am presuming that his name may have been miss transcribed.
Thanking you for any help.

Hello Alan,
Another query if I may.
I could not find Stambridge on any of the maps I have access too.
Could you let me know where it is?

Hello Sue, Thank you for the Rix family for the 1861 census but I already have this info.
I am looking for Charles Rix in the 1851 census or Charles Rix on the Landowners Index.
