Hi Wisteria,

Thank you so much for your reply.  I in fact have thought for some time that the Drew Piggott born 1743 was the Drew of my 1768 marriage in Sunbury.  The difficult part is to find evidence that at some point he made that move.

Of GREAT importance!!!  Do you know any living Piggott male from this line?  If so, we really need to get a DNA analysis so that we stand a chance of confirming all of our suppositions.  In my direct maternal Piggott line there is only one living Piggott male living in New Zealand.  So far we have not had any luck in getting a DNA test from him.  However, there is at least one other line that I know of descending from the St Leonards, Heston families resulting from the Drew Piggott marriage.

Regards, Joe

Hi Wisteria,

This is my maternal line going back to the marriage of Drew Piggott and Mary Cotterel at Sunbury in 1768.  Chris has been helping me, as well, and we are reasonably sure that my Drew Piggott originated in the Cowden line.  Until now, I have not been able to make a direct connection, although it seems that the Drew born 1743 is a good choice.

I extracted all of the Cowden and nearby Piggott records from the old Family Search site.  I'm hoping that you might have additional information.
