We currently have many volunteering opportunities within Llanelly House. We have digitisation workshops on 7th, 14th and 28th September. The course is run by CultureNet and is called ‘Digital Heritage in the Community’. You will learn to use scanners, flip cameras, oral history digi kits and laptops to record your memories and digitise images that would otherwise be lost. If you'd like to be a part of it then please get in touch either by phoning (*) or emailing (*).

For any of you that are interested in the restoration of Llanelly House or Georgian town houses in general, we have photographic accounts of the archaeology, restoration and rooms within the House. I don't know if any of you caught a recent documentary on BBC about the Llanelly Railway strikes (it way have only been on BBC Wales).
We have a scan of a photo from 1911 but it needs repairing, it would be great if you could take a look to see if anything can be done with this photo.

Also it would be good if the urns on the top right of the House were more visible as these are an important feature, thanks.

Would anyone be able to give this photo a touch up? It's difficult to see the Chambers family very clearly in the garden of Llanelly House.

It's a poor scan unfortunately, hopefully I can track down the original and get a better scan at a later date.

Everything will be available when the House opens in 2013, unfortunately its a bit of a wait but it should be worth it!
