Ok so here we go what i know about mysterious George Elliott (convict)

Born circa 1812-1818 deffinetly found guilty in 1833 arrived in Van Diemens Land 1834 now known as Tasmania.

He married Sarah Cooper 25 Dec 1840 Launceston Tasmania. They had children
John William,
Thomas, - 1863
Elizabeth Jane,
Robert,
Louisa Elizabeth,
Henry "Asher (also known as harry),
Mary Ann,
George Henry,
Sarah Ann.

George died 5 march 1888 in Ulverstone Tasmania.

On his quater session papers states he is from St marys Notts.

I believe that my George (convict ) is infact george hatfield Elliott.

Australia / Looking For Heywood, John

Hi everyone,
i am looking for a John Heywood born bout 1924 he married a woman by the name of Kerry Riley she was born about 1944 in Victoria Australia they had a daughter called Penelpoe (penny), Kerry was a teacher. Kerry was a Primary School Teacher and did her training at Frankston Teachers College in 1962.  She taught at Poowong State School, Vic for a couple of years and then taught in NSW.  I am told  that she taught at Glebe State School NSW for a while.  It was around this time that she had (Penelope, Penny) to a John Heywood.  John was many years older than Kerry, at least 15-20 years older.

Both Kerry, John and Penny left NSW for Qld and we never heard from them again.  Sadly, we don’t know if she is living or deceased.

About 38 years ago John  was managing a boarding house in Bellview Hill, NSW 2023.  He had been married twice before meeting Kerry and had about three Daughters.  His girls would have been in their teens at the time of meeting Kerry. He also drove a taxi part time and I seem to recall that he had a little blue Mini Minor car.

If any one knows these people could you please email me.

Kindest Regards

Nellie
