Hi,

Just wondering if you're still working on any of this or have left it so? I'm in Wexford and am doing a lot of research lately, and while I can't see a connection between any of the Frizelles you have named and what I have on my own family tree, maybe there is something that I'm overlooking.

I've set up a website, www.frizellefamilytree.com, where I've made available a lot of what I've found out. If you would like to have a look, maybe we could be some help to each other.

All the best,
Jennie.

Hi,

I'm living in Wexford, and am tracing my Frizelle family tree.

I've been in contact with Frizelles in various parts of the world, and have received a copy of a handwritten Frizelle family tree scroll from a guy in Australia, James Frizelle, which goes back to 1783 (my family tree goes back to 1717). His family tree has Frizelles in Strabane, Derry and Belfast, but I can't find any connection with my own tree.

I have set up a website, www.frizellefamilytree.com, and I'm using that to try and collate info from various sources, I have also made both family trees available for download through the site (although not living generations, for privacy reasons), so I would love if someone could establish a connection between the two.

It seems that there were two separate movements of Frizelles to Ireland - the Palatines, and the Normans - so maybe there is no connection, I don't know, or maybe any connection is so far back that we'll never find it. But I'm not ready to give up yet!

Also, I'm going to the genealogy event in Dublin on Sunday - the event is on all weekend, 21st - 23rd October 2011, see http://www.backtoourpast.com/mysitecaddy/site3/index.htm so if any Frizelles or Frizelle descendants would like to meet up to have a look through the family tree info that'd be great!

Jennie.

Hi,

I've received a hand-written scroll from James Frizelle in Australia, whose ancestors originate in Northern Ireland. I can't see any connection between that family tree and my own, but maybe someone out there could have a look and see if they can find a link.

The tree begins with William Frizell (no final 'e' at that stage) in 1783 in Strabane, and I have put the first 4 generations on the Frizelle family tree website (www.frizellefamilytree.com) so please do have a look.

Also, there is a 'Back to our past' event in Dublin this weekend (21st - 23rd October 2011, see http://www.backtoourpast.com/mysitecaddy/site3/index.htm) which I'm going to on the Sunday (23rd) so if anyone would like to meet up there just let me know. You can contact me through the forum here, or the frizelle family tree website.

Hi Fleenr,

I'm tracing the Frizelle family too, and I have a lot of Frizelle info, but no sign of a R. E. Frizelle. I'm after setting up a website, www.frizellefamilytree.com to share what I've found, and I have a PDF of the first seven generations of the family tree available to download there (for privacy reasons I didn't go any more recent than that, because most of the people in the 8th and subsequent generations are still alive).

If you can see how your info might slot in with what I've got, I'd love to hear from you.

Rgds,

Jennie Frizelle.

Hi all,

I'm piecing the Frizelle family tree together bit by bit (with my cousin Patricia CP who started this thread and various other family members), and a lot of the names that are coming up here are on the tree that I've got.

I have a family tree going back to 1717 in PDF format, which I'll happily email to any interested people who want to trace their roots and help add to it. I'm just after setting up a website, www.frizellefamilytree.com, so I'd be delighted if you check that out and send on any family info you have. (I'm not making the PDF available on the website for privacy reasons, but if you contact me I'll email it to you).

All the best,
Jennie.
