Martha, 29
Jeanie, 4
Elizabeth, 3

Wow! Thanks so much for your kind help!  :)
I never knew that Alexander had a brother George but we always knew that there was a George in our family tree who worked in shipping in Glasgow. This pieces together nicely the family connection. The names are also similar to other names in the family tree for example Martha's mother was Elizabeth and Alex's mother was Jane. I cannot thank you enough for your help! Do you know if Alex and Martha appear in 1911 census, if it isn't too much trouble,
Again, thanks very much!  :)

Scotland / Alexander Jamieson and Martha Sterling (Glasgow)
« on: Sunday 14 August 11 21:39 BST (UK)  »
Hi.
I don't know if anyone can help me but I am looking for a relative of mine called Alexander Jamieson and his wife Martha Sterling who were married in 1895 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland and they moved to Scotland, most likely Glasgow shortly after their marriage. Both were Protestants and I believe that Alex may have been in the Orange Order. I cannot find either on the census records of Ireland so they may have left Ireland before 1901. Martha was born in Londonderry around 1870. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Derry (Londonderry) / Re: Marriage Certificates Cassidy and Brown (Derry)
« on: Sunday 14 August 11 21:33 BST (UK)  »
Hello I am new to the Chat Forum
I saw a posting from Argyle25Cassidy that appeared under the heading Marriage Certificates Cassidy etc

I believe that Michael Cassidy and Margaret Doherty Cassidy are mt Great Great Grandparents by way of their son Edward Cassidy born circa 1850/1852

Michael Cassidy seems to have originated from Liafin or Meenalooban outside Buncrana in Donegal. but his parents were definitely as above as Michael Cassidy left a will when he died in 1862

How do i get in touch with Argyle25Cassidy ??
Any help would be appreciated  !!

Hi.
I'm looking for information on a relative of mine. His name is Robert (Bobby) McGahey and he was the son of Gilbert McGahey and Annie Thompson. He was born in 1907 in 26 Bridge Street. If anyone has any information relating to his parents I would be extremely grateful. I cannot locate Gilbert or Annie on any of the Irish census records but Bobby died in Derry in the 1980's and he was known to come from the Fountain estate of Derry.  I don't know if Bridge Street is near the Fountain so I would appreciate any help. Whenever I do search the census records, the McGahey's in Derry live in the Fountain but Robert is not among them. I'm a novice at this so I would be grateful for assistance.
