Thanks yes that is where I got the address from. Elizabeth was his Henry’s first wife

Administration was granted to Joseph & Elizabeth Farrar.  You will find the entry under 1955 - even though he died in 1954 & admin was granted in 1954.  Another round of applause due to the “new” probate search system😡😡

Ancestry's Lancashire ER's only go to 1939

Thank you

I obtained the DC for Henry the informant was a Mabel Wood  of the same address. I can’t see number 95 listed in 1921 or 1939

Would like to see who the possible other residents were just prior to 1954 at 95 Featherstall Road South Oldham

One should be Henry Buxton who died 8 Feb 1954

Thank you

Thank you. I have sent a email to the Seychelles Library

Also another couple where the sailors are with a priest. I am presuming he would be a local one

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I will let you know how I get on.

Much easier to ask a question if you have possibilities.

Not on La Digue I imagine but certainly at the capital, Victoria on Mahé. A outing to the other islands quite likely from there.

Had a Quick Look. Certainly the rock formations look similar. If the Royal Navy/merchant navy were likely to call in there then that’s another clue

Thanks again

Thank you I will look that up

We think the I picture was taken in Seychelles during WW2

If so is it possible to identify it, where it was actually taken ?
