Hi all

On the subject of there were lots of Redsulls in Deal but not so many now. My grandad Percy Redsull and grandmother Grace had 11 children - 2 died in infancy and one around age 7. Which left 8 - 6 of which were girls - so no Redsulls born there. My dad had 2 daughters - so no Redsulls again. My uncle Les had 1 boy and 1 girl. So out of many many grandchildren there was only my cousin John to carry the name forward. Such a shame we are 'dying out'. I remember years ago when we used to visit there was a Redsull Avenue and a butchers I believe.

Haven't had much time recently to go searching but now the winter months are coming I hope to 'get my head down again'.

Regards to all.
Pam

Hi Claire and all Redsulls

I have just joined this site, had no idea about it until Yvonne Scott told me Claire was on it. I have no info for anyone but my tree is on Genes Reunited if anyone cares to have a look. You all seem to have so much info and if I need anything I will be sure to ask. I was born in Cavell Square, Mill Hill in Deal to George Edward Redsull son of Percy and Grace. We moved to Watford when I was very young when my dad got a job in the print - it was better than going back down the coal mines. I have a lot of cousins in Deal as my dad and Auntie Gladys were the only ones to move away. Thus I do not have the ability to 'go looking' but the next time I am in Deal I will take a list with me of graves and graveyards to visit to look up my ancestry.
