Hello Debbie
How lovely to hear from you.  My father is Hanna Walkley's nephew so I have more information about the Bingham side if you would like it.
Kind regards

Hi Brian thank you for the message.  Our tree is progressing very well and has many branches.  As you can see Hannah Walkley nee Bingham was my father's paternal aunt.  If there is any information I can help with please let me know, although Stuart gave me a lot of information.
Kind regards
Shirley

Thank you for this, I have just checked family search for another branch or our family, without success but will try the Ingrams.  Alice Mary/Mary Alice was married to William Ingram in England so he might never have been in India

Hi thank you for this information, I am unsure if this family belongs anywhere in my tree but I do not mind links however tenuous.

I also have ancestors from India on my Grandfather Granger's side, (could also be Callaghans), who I have been searching for since I was given this information over a year ago so it is possible I might come across your people.  Have you tried the FIBIS website?  I found this useful.

Good Luck in your search

Hi Polly

there is a very slight chance that your Great Grandmother Alice Bird could be related in some way to my 2 x great grandmother Mary Alice Sands, born in Mumbai India around 1864.  I have a little information, some of which I got from the FIBIS website.  If you would like me to email you what I have please send me your email address.  I will also look out for the name Bird in my research

Good Luck

Hi

I don't know if you still need this information but your George Bingham was the brother of my 2nd Great Grandfather, John Bingham and his wife Harriet was the sister of my 2nd Great Grandmother Sarah Hessel.  I have a great deal more information about the Bingham family if you do not already have it.

I am looking for information about my 2x great grandmother Mary Alice Sands in some records Alice Mary.  She was born in Mumbai Maharashtra India about 1864.  Who were her parents, when did she come to England?  I know she was in service in Edgbaston Birmingham at some point and she married William Ingram.

One of their children was Alice Emma Ingram, my great grandmother

Does anyone have any information, even a tenuous link

Thank you

Shirley
