Hello All,
I think I have a something to add to William Rogers Dowsing, and I'm confident that it is the same one.
My husbands grandmother was Ena Veronica Dowsing, father William Rogers Dowsing and mother is Rosetta Ann Chappell. Father's occupation commercial traveller, which ties in with the 1891 and 1901 census. All the paperwork I have suggests I have the right William. The 1911 census states he was born 1849 in woodbridge, Suffolk.
Williams probate states he left everything to Rosetta. I have the 1911 census with them both living together allegedly married for 20 years but can't find the marriage certificate, could be he was still married to Julia however William and Rosetta had 7 children together.
Would be nice to hear from someone to confirm if I have got this right.
Regards
Victoria
