Yes that was what I found too.
Just had a quick look at the newspapers on FindMyPast and the same advice applies: ignore Wonston and enter Hazelbury Bryan instead. There seem to be quite a few references including a report on its impending closure in 1969.

If you Google The Drum Inn Hazelbury Bryan ( Wonston is a hamlet here) you will get a few hits.

I visited this morning and found the grave.
If you message me with your email address I’ll send you the photos I took.
I’m afraid the inscription isn’t easy to read.

Sligo / McGovern/McGowan/McCaughan, Regan and White.
« on: Thursday 28 March 24 19:24 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for information on a Bridget Regan who died 29 March 1873 in Heywood, Lancashire. She is described as aged 64 and the widow of Patrick Regan, farmer.

Bridget appears for definite in the 1861 census (there may be a sighting of her in 1851 but that is less certain), living with her daughter and son in law Bridget and John White in Heap, Bury, Lancashire.
Bridget McGovern and John White married at St Chad's Rochdale in 1852 and Bridget's father is stated to be James McGovern.

In the 1871 census all 3 of them (still in Heap)) say they were born Co Sligo.

So I'm looking for a Bridget born c 1809 in Co Sligo who married twice;
firstly, James McGovern with whom she had at least 3 children Bridget, Ann, and Anthony
and secondly, Patrick Regan.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Thanks so much,Sandra.

No I hadn’t seen this information and had rather put this branch on the back burner.
I shall look at it all again with renewed vigour!

Many thanks for remembering this request; it’s much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Meg
