I found the DNA pages for the sons of Fergus, so I know the male line, but no details of any females or dates. I kept hoping I would find anything about the Royal Horse artillery Tailors but alas so far I have not found anything

Hi, Thank you for your message. I have come to a complete standstill with the Ferguson family. I have tried looking for a baptism of Lional Ferguson without success. I know from his son's settlement that he was born in Berwick and died there but that is all the evidence I have.
I am in West Yorkshire not too far from Penistone.

Derbyshire Lookup Requests / Re: Osmaston Road General baptist chapel - Hodson

Hi yes sorry about that, I should have put it on. The bmd index does show it to be in the 4th quarter of 1875 so anytime between October, November and December. I believe Martha's father to be Edward or Adar Darby, a brick layer, who may or may not have died by then, as I have him on the 1871 census but nothing after.
Thank you again
Tina

Derbyshire Lookup Requests / Osmaston Road General baptist chapel - Hodson

Hi, I have found a wedding detail for the above chapel for Martha Darby and Jonathan Hodson in 1875, on find my past.com. I was hoping that someone could look up the entry and tell me who the bride and groom's fathers were and the actual date of the marriage. Any details for Jonathan would be appreciated, he is proving very difficult to track down on any record before he married Martha.
Thank you in advance
Tina

Thanks for that, I live 2 miles from Kirkburton and I was surprised when I noticed from the census return that Lydia was born in Shepley, which is a couple of miles away in a different direction.  It must have been a travel to come back here for all the children's baptisms. Thank you for all your help Tina

Hi Thanks for that, I believe John Wright was John's brother in law but I don't know who Eliza was. Is Clay Cross near Brampton. Lydia's parents were living in Walton, Derbyshire when their youngest child was baptised at Kirkburton, Yorkshire, is this nearby?
Thanks
